Advanced tag based on paintball pellets
Paintball is an active game that we recommend for players who are already sturdy on their feet.
Using a paintball marker, you shoot paintballs with the help of compressed air. Upon impact, the paintballs burst open, releasing the paint. So, there's no doubt whether you've hit something or someone! The paintballs are made of completely natural and water-soluble ingredients. So, no need to panic if they land on your clothes. Just wash them, and they'll come right off!
Various Versions
Below, you can find more information about the different types of paintball that we offer at The Gathering. Starting from 10 years old!
Safety
We pay careful attention to the guidance and safety of every group. To ensure this safety, there are only a few but very strict rules in paintball. These rules are explained to the entire group at the beginning, along with the correct operation of the equipment. The most important rule is undoubtedly: always wear masks when you are on the playing field!
The Game
Each game is explained separately so that everyone understands. We like to alternate between more action-packed and tactical games so that everyone can find something to their liking. Of course, we are always open to suggestions!
Field
For safety reasons, paintball cannot be played everywhere. The terrain must be adapted so that players and accidental passersby cannot be hit by flying paintballs. Nets are essential to ensure smooth gameplay! Paintball on our premises can only be played in Schiplaken, not in Holsbeek.
Group
We can have up to 60 players playing at once.
You play with manual shotguns where you cock a spring and shoot 1 paintball at a time. We use soft impact paintballs with a .50 caliber that weigh only 1.25 grams. You can shoot up to 10 meters. The impact is rather soft, and the paintballs don't always break. Bruises are therefore almost non-existent, unless you run into a tree! ;-)
You play with light semi-automatic low-pressure markers and with the small caliber of .50. You shoot 1 paintball each time you pull the trigger, and the marker automatically cocks itself, ready for the next shot. You can shoot up to 20 meters, and if you get hit, you'll definitely feel it this time!
For players who really want to feel the adrenaline rush through their bodies. You shoot with semi-automatic M-16 markers. Here, we use .68 caliber paintballs weighing 3 grams. If you get hit here, there will be little room for debate! :-) You can shoot up to 50 meters easily!
For the children, we use low-impact paintballs. They weigh only 1.25g compared to the 3g .68 caliber ones we use for our MASTERS. This, combined with lower shooting pressure, makes it all a bit more pleasant and child-friendly! :-)
You can never have too many paintballs! So, we provide you with a convenient belt where you can store a lot of them. Additionally, the HPA (High Pressure Air) tank for the masters is also attached to that belt if you are playing with a remote line.
Our markers operate at high pressure. You can check and refill your pressure at any time using the pressure gauge, up to 200 bar...
