During these 5-day camps, you will experience real adventure! Do you want to learn more about making fire, building camps, water management, archery, knot tying, installing traps, hiking techniques, lashing, woodworking, paracord bracelets, ... You can experience it all during our holiday camps during Easter and the summer holidays!
In addition to all the forest and campfire activities, we alternate with laser shooting and paintball and, as with any good camp, we have a campfire with BBQ and an overnight stay on Thursday evening!! You probably won't want to go home afterwards, but that risk is entirely up to the parents... :-)
Do you still have questions? Let us know via Whatsapp, hallo@TheGathering.be or 0473/277 803! We are always here for you!
Of course, we don't all have unlimited vacation time and unfortunately have to go back to work. That's why we provide plenty of childcare options. Children are welcome with us from 8 am in the morning and can stay until 7 pm in the evening. So you don't have to rush to and from work.
We provide a full-day program and book something for Thursday evening to calmly go out to eat because our guests will be staying overnight on our premises! We take care of supervision!
Below you will find a weekly schedule of activities. Of course, these may shift depending on the size of the group, the weather, and the interests of our participants. A little improvisation and seeing opportunities is a must during this week! :-)

What should my children not bring?
Anything of value should ideally stay at home. If any valuable items are brought along, we will safely store them so they are not lost or damaged during daily activities.
Although we will obviously talk about knives and axes, it is not intended for the children to bring such items themselves. If they were to use them, it would be our equipment and always under supervision.
We sleep in tents with a groundsheet. In principle, a good air mattress and a good sleeping bag are sufficient to keep warm. It's obviously better to be off the ground to fend off the cold. Don't forget warm pajamas, some toiletries, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, clean clothes, ...
If - you never know in Belgium - stones freeze from the ground or the deluge descends upon us, we can always retreat to the cafeteria. But of course, we're going for the adventurous option! :-)
Every participant at The Gathering receives a free survival wristband. It contains a handy compass and whistle and an integrated flint and blade. When the need is really high, this could be your salvation! :-)
It must have been one of the best inventions, after the crossbow, the mobile phone, the paperclip, and the cable tie! ;-)
It's something everyone can make with minimal materials and it's even fun to practice! :-)
Most people learn very quickly how to tie shoelaces, but there are dozens of other knots that can be super useful in everyday life. We'll teach you some of them here and their applications. And with a little creativity, you'll soon build half a castle! :-)
Maybe moms and dads get a little nervous reading these two words in combination with their beloved offspring. But don't worry, we're not going to throw axes or knives and cut down trees, but we will explain how to best use them, how to safely transport and handle them, and what you definitely shouldn't do (throwing is one of them! ;-)).
